매년 9월 7일은 세계적인 대기오염 문제에 대한 경각심 제고와 국제사회 공동대응을 위해 한국이 주도하여 지정한 최초의 유엔 공식 기념일입니다.

September 7, 2020 marks the very first ‘International Day of Clean Air for blue skies.’ Led by the Korean Government, the UN General Assembly in 2019 adopted by consensus the resolution to designate September 7 to help improve air quality, raise awareness of the air pollution, and acknowledge that air quality and climate change mitigation are very closely linked.

Campaign for Blue Skies and Net Zero 2050 in the Republic of Korea

코로나 19와 기후변화로 인한 재난이 일상이 되어버린 2020년, 더 이상 기후위기 대응을 위한 우리의 행동을 늦춰서는 안됩니다.

파리기후협약 이행과 푸른 하늘을 유지하기 위한 2050 순배출 제로(Net Zero) 달성 (재)기후변화센터와 GGGI, 그리고 다양한 분야의 34개 캠페인 파트너들이 함께 그 중요성을 알리고 목표 달성을 향해 나아갑니다.

In 2020, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic and climate change, natural disasters have become part of our day-to-day lives. We should not let COVID-19 delay action to tackle the climate crisis.

We should achieve net zero emissions by 2050 to meet the Paris Agreement and return blue skies. We - the Climate Change Center, and the Global Green Growth Institute and the 34 campaign partners in the various sectors - will move forward to raise public awareness of net zero emissions and accomplish our goal.
